ABOUT SCHOOL
It was just a land.Yes, the land of grasses and bushes, which has the picturesque view of snow - capped mountains with refreshing air to inhale, its enchanting quietness and calmness relievers yours mind; makes it suitable for the children to hone their abilities. It was being chosen. Now, that particular piece of land is known to be Government Secondary School, Borong. It is in the remote corner of South Sikkim, yet the zeal to educate their children didn't the villagers of Borong. With the help of Government they made it possible and the school was establish in the year of 1960 with few number of students initially in primary level. The impact of education was very effective that in 1980, the primary school was upgraded to Junior High School. Further, in 1991,the school was upgraded to secondary school with increase in number of students.
